StandAlone VR Coming to China |
HTC is joining forces with Qualcomm for an independent Vive virtual reality headset restrictive to the Chinese market. The headset, called the Vive Standalone, is charged as a "superior" gadget and will run applications from HTC's Viveport stage. It's controlled by a Snapdragon 835 chip and depends on Qualcomm's across the board reference outline, which incorporates back to front positional following that would place it in the organization of top of the line fastened headsets.
We don't know how much the Vive Standalone will cost, its correct specialized specs, how individuals will connect with it, or when it's turning out. HTC will evidently be discharging that data in the coming months after the present uncovers at the ChinaJoy stimulation expo. It's a different item from the independent HTC Google Daydream headset that was declared this spring, despite the fact that its outline looks fundamentally the same as that of the Vive independent Daydream headset. The greatest contrast may basically be that not at all like Daydream, it's not dependent on the Google PlayStore, which is just sporadically accessible in China.
